Sony Bravia KDL 40XBR6 and XBR7 40-Inch LCD Television Review

sony-bravia-40XBR6 I’ve always wanted an LCD television set that will make my home look more attractive and cozier. When I first heard about the Sony Bravia 40XBR6, I hesitated because I knew that I had to pay for this. Premium TVs should come for a price, right? However, my wife kept insisting since this 40-inch set really captured her. Like any other buyer, I researched first about the specification of this HDTV and its other competitors. This Sony Bravia came out a winner. With that, I succumbed to my wife’s wish and bought it. To my surprise, I actually got it with the best price. What’s more, it is really slim and very appealing.

The pictures are in details incredibly and it also allows you to manipulate the picture settings. It really does not matter whether I watch in a dim or in a well lit room because it has a high contrast ratio that allows the viewer to watch whatever the situation is. I own this low cost Sony Bravia 40XBR6 for several weeks now and still, I cannot detect any blurring on the sides even when there are speedy action scenes going on.

The built in speaker is really good and although it has a single source amplifier, its attempt for surround sound is truly awesome. When I hook it up to an A/V receiver, the movies I watch come alive. It’s like I’m sitting next to the stars. This Sony Bravia 40XBR6 is loaded with many input options including LAN, USB, S-Video and HDMI. I haven’t used the LAN port yet but I will try it soon.

With regards to the others, I have not encountered a problem with them since this is the Sony brand we’re talking about here. This was actually launched for a price of $2299 and so dropping it to $1429 is really the best deal one can have for this grand set!
